Agile Transformation

The process of adopting agile methods across an engineering organization.

Definition

Agile transformation is the organizational shift from project-based, plan-driven development to iterative, feedback-driven delivery. It involves changing not just processes (sprints, retrospectives, backlogs) but also mindsets, team structures, and the relationship between business and technology. Done well, it accelerates delivery and improves alignment. Done poorly, it adds ceremony without changing behavior.

Why it matters

Many enterprises adopt the vocabulary of agile without the substance. They run sprints but still plan for 12 months. They have daily standups but still escalate every decision to a committee. The result is the worst of both worlds: the overhead of agile rituals with the rigidity of waterfall timelines.

Our take

Our embedded teams operate in real sprints from day one. We do not coach agile abstractly. We demonstrate it by shipping working software every two weeks.
